Evelyn Road, Wimbledon SW19
We created a stunning double fronted period property by adding a three storey extension to an end of Terrace Victorian house.
The main entrance was relocated from the side of the property to the front achieving a fully balanced front elevation with existing and matching windows. The Victorian stained glass entrance door was refurbished and re-installed. The front garden was carefully landscaped to not disturb any of the existing mature hedges and trees.
A new utility room and downstairs toilet was added on the ground floor together with a snug area for watching TV and playing computer games.
The rear kitchen was extended and doubled in size allowing a new island and spacious dinning area.
Three large sliding doors open onto full width patio steps leading into the garden.
The kitchen dining area also benefits from new side windows which are carefully matching the existing Victorian sash windows comprising period style features to match the existing, such as columns and moulded architraves.
On the first floor a new masterbedroom was created with an ensuite bathroom and a walk in wardrobe. In addition a bedroom and home office space have been added and the family bathroom has been refurbished.
The fully air conditioned loft comprises an additional bedroom and a refurbished bathroom.
Solar panels are located on the rear first floor roof to create a sustainable solution to the period property.
